Reifsnyder Finishes in 22nd Place at NCCGA National Championships

Blake Reifsnyder, a member of the newly formed Kutztown University Club Golf Team, recently qualified to participate in the NCCGA National Championship which was held at Walt Disney World Golf Courses in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on November 19th and 20th. Reifsnyder, who is ranked 2nd in the Philadelphia Region and 18th overall in the country, finished his two rounds with a score of 154 (+10) which was good for a tie for 22nd place out of the 251 competitors. The tournament featured schools from all over the country, including the University of Oregon, Florida State University, and Arizona State University. About his experience, Reifsnyder said “Getting out of the cold to compete against club golf’s best was a nice escape, but finishing as high as I did is a real bonus. It made the trip worth it.”

The Kutztown University Golf Club, in its first semester of existence, is a member of the Philadelphia region of the National Collegiate Club Golf Association. Other teams in the region include the University of Delaware, Villanova University, and the University of Pennsylvania. The team’s home course is Golden Oaks Golf Club, located in Fleetwood, PA.
